Installation and licensing of Carrida for LabView

1   Introduction

pic1 LabView or Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench is a system-design platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments. Installing Carrida for LabView and obtaining a licence is done in just a few steps. The process will be explained in detail in this manual.

2   Installation of Carrida for LabView


Note Sign

Make sure that LabView or higher is installed (either x32 or x64) on your system. Also needed: NI Vision Development Module and VI Package Manager from JKI (it comes with LabView installation)


  1. Make sure the 'VI Package manager' is installed on your system. You can find it here:

    Only the free version is required, you do not need the Pro version.

  2. Download the Carrida installation package from the link and unpack it:

2.1   Installing the Carrida vip file using the VI Package manager


Locate the CARRIDA .*.vip file and double click it to open it in VI Package Manager. Make sure to use correct bit version (x32 or x64).


In VI Package Manager

  • Select correct Labview version and click „Install“
  • Accept the license agreement
  • Read the information on how to find the dependencies that are needed to be installed.
  • Click OK
  • Finish installation

2.2   Installing the dependencies

  • Open LabView
  • Go to the Tools menu and select entry CARRIDA TOOLS
  • Select CARRIDA tools dialog …

  • This opens the following dialog:

  • After installation you need to obtain and install your Carrida SW License: In the LABVIEW Tools folder open the Carrida subfolder and locate the haspdinst.bat and rus_carrida.exe script file.
  • CLOSE the CARRIDA Tools dialog

  • FIRST: execute „VC_redist_x86.exe“ and install it
  • SECOND: execute „haspdinst -INSTALL.bat“
  • Wait until finished

  • THIRD: To create a fingerprint .c2v file for your PC run rus_carrida.exe and send it to to obtain a .v2c license file. Follow the instructions of the rus_carrida program to license your PC using the .v2c file.
